One Can Only Hope

[Verse 1]
How many times do I have to go through
Square one
How many easter eggs will I find
It's not that kind of fun
[Pre-Chorus 1]
I know it's not on you
And I know it's in the past
But still, it gets me, like indigestion,
When I eat too fast
[Chorus 1]
Well I'll just sit and wait, and eat and hate
Until this feeling's gone
There is no cure, no right solution
I just have to move on
When the time comes I'll be fine again
I just hope that this won't repeat again
But one can only hope
[Verse 2]
How many thoughts do I have to think
Before I stop thinking about it?
Is this moving forward? Backward? Sideways?
Maybe it's time to quit?
[Pre-Chorus 2]
I still know it's not on you
And I know it's in the past
But still, it gets me, like when
My period's late from stress
[Chorus 2]
Well I'll just sit and wait, and eat and hate
Until this feeling's gone
There is no cure, no right solution
I just have to move on
When the time comes I'll be fine again
I just hope that this won't repeat again
But one can only hope
[Bridge]
Okay, I think I got it this time
But who's to say that it'll be the last time
Well, one can only hope
[Stacking]
One can only hope, oh
Sit and wait, and eat and hate, and
Oos
[Chorus 3]
Well I'll just sit and wait, and eat and hate
Until this feeling's gone
There is no cure, no right solution
I just have to move on
When the time comes I'll be fine again
I just hope that this won't repeat again
But one can only hope

[Verse 1]
It happened, again,
But you weren’t there to see it
Oh wait, you wouldn’t get it
You would've had to be there to understand
[Verse 2]
And I’ll tell you all about my day
But sometimes it gets too late
It’s still your day when I’ve ended mine
Your good night is my rise and shine
[Chorus 1]
You’re so far away from me
For two whole years separated by sea
We’re good on our own but better together,
Wouldn’t you agree?
Sooner than you think I will be nearer than far
’Til I bid this place 'au revoir'
This is L D R
[Verse 3]
Though to be frank, I like the peace I get
When I’m living on my own
All this time I have, to myself
And nobody else (nobody else)
[Verse 4]
Bitter, salty, sweet, and sour
We've seen each other through
The days are long but they’re getting shorter
How much longer till I’m with you?
[Chorus 2]
You’re so far away from me
For two whole years separated by sea
We’re good on our own but better together,
Wouldn’t you agree?
Sooner than you think I will be nearer than far
’Til I bid this place 'au revoir'
This is L D R

I Remember
02:58

A long time ago, I read a piece about unique things to do on date night
One said to treat your lady like a princess, you being the chivalrous knight
But dare I say there wasn’t anything special about that concept
Because day after day you already have my feet swept
Today I stand before you
As we look each other in the eyes
You mesmerize me
So I promise you the rest of my life
I remember back at mine,
When we'd share assorted ice creams
And I’m not a fan of the almond-flavored ones
Even though you liked another
You’d pick the one you wouldn’t rather
So it wouldn’t be a bother to me
I remember all the time
When I’m going through it all
Y’know the monthly reminder that tells you you’re not pregnant
You would warm me with your body heat
Until the cramps admitted defeat
Then you’d bring me so much food to overeat
So, today I stand before you
As we look each other in the eyes
You mesmerize me
So I promise you the rest of my life
I know there will be days when truths are hard to swallow
But I’ll be there, in sickness and in sorrow
I remember back in Australia,
When we snacked on Coles cookies
And I didn’t want the ones with too many chocolate chips
You would pick each one and assess
Set aside the ones with less
And you’d eat the ones that didn’t pass the test
I remember back in school,
When our love was fresh and new
And I never liked it when all eyes were on me
You said “this song is dedicated to Amanda
BUT DON’T LOOK AT HER SHE DOESN’T LIKE ATTENTION”
That was a lot of attention
But I appreciate the mention
तो तेरे संग मैं आज खड़ी हूँ (So, today I stand before you)
हमारी नज़रें मिलते हुए (As we look each other in the eyes)
उनमें खो गयी हूँ (You mesmerize me)
और मेरी ज़िंदगी तेरे हवाले है (And so I promise you the rest of my life)
मैं जानती हूँ कि कुछ दिन बहुत मुश्किल ही होगा (I know there will be days when truths are hard to swallow)
पर मैं साथ हूँ (But I’ll be here)
चाहे ख़ुशी हो या गम (In sickness and in sorrow)
You are the one whose flaws I’ve chosen to accept
And our love is something I want to protect
So believe me when I say
Let’s be happy and together,
Today
