This is an intimate letter to a person whose mindset has drastically changed from their past self. I felt like I was losing this person to someone new in their life whom I barely knew, and they were obeying said person's every word without a filter. I felt abandoned and lost. Despite that, this person wasn't someone I could just delete from my life, so this song is about the struggle of trying to keep whatever relationship I had left with them.
