This is a very raw account of my decades-long tussle with my self-esteem, and the song is a letter to a mentor-figure to tell them to be patient with me. Every time I try to open myself up to risks or opportunities, believing that I have the ability to make it happen, something at the back of my head casts doubt over the whole experience. It’s about wanting to be at my best when I feel at my worst, like a zero to myself.
